"I've known Victoria for a few years now, and I'm happy to see that she
has decided to run for the position of Community Library Network
board trustee. She's worked hard in several campaigns, and is a solid
conservative, with values that best represent the ideals and virtues
of the community. I'm happy to endorse her candidacy, and I look
forward to the great ideas and energy she will bring to the board."

“I have only known Victoria for a short period of time. But I've been pleasantly impressed following several lengthy meetings and discussions with her. She strikes me as a God-fearing, conservative, American patriot who is very fond of books, classical literature, and with applicable life and work experience to be a good fit to represent the community as a trustee of the Community Library Network (CLN).  And as a frequent library patron with a young child, she's got a reason to ensure the CLN remains an exemplary Idaho library.

The current board has worked tirelessly to ensure the taxpayer's funds are being expended wisely, while also drafting and implementing innovative policies aligned with following the spirit and requirements of the Idaho School and Library Protection Act. If you support this board, I encourage you to support and vote for Victoria.

I would be delighted to have Victoria join the current, conservative CLN Board. She has my full endorsement!:

“I have been an early childhood educator for over 30 years and home-schooled both my daughters; my youngest through eighth grade then 3 years of private Christian school and a year of public school.  My oldest was always home-schooled and is now at North Idaho College. So as a mother and an educator, I really have seen it all when it comes to children and the importance of quality literature. I do not believe in book banning but I do know that inappropriate books for minors with sexual topics that are not developmentally appropriate and not age appropriate should be in the Adult section. Unfortunately, there are some book authors that are sneaking material into books that are not appropriate for children.  As a parent, it's then very challenging to identify those books at first glance. I believe Victoria would be an asset to come up with solutions to make sure our libraries have great content for our children.”

"The mental health of our nation's children has plummeted off a cliff. They are confused. Many are depressed, anxious, suicidal & no longer have hopes and dreams for a happy life. Adults are having a hard time navigating the destruction of societal values that we are experiencing. Children, who are still forming their own identities, simply cannot handle this level of insanity. We are seeing this reflected in our children's mental distress. America——we have to turn this around! I support candidates willing to stand up to fight for protecting children's innocence and their future."

"Libraries have been my safe place since I was a child. Good, clean books make life rich. I use our local libraries including Hayden branch and CDA Library at least once a week.

I am grateful Victoria is willing to enter our Community Library Network arena to build up and foster the learning, literacy, and legacy that great books provide for us all. My niece also loves the library, and Victoria will fight to keep the library a safe place for her, and for your children.

I’ve enjoyed many adventure stories with themes of “save our community,” “save the world,” “fight for goodness,” and “never give up.” Every child, including my niece, is the future of our community and our world. I won’t give up fighting for her, and Victoria has joined our fight to retain the beauty, encouragement, and vision of excellent books to grow on.

As others have expressed, I also do not believe in book banning, but inappropriate books for minors showcasing sexual topics that are not developmentally or age appropriate should be shelved in the Adult section. (Not that anyone should read them.)

As part of the pornography and sexual vulgarity seeping onto the page, I see our younger generation facing a tide of grey themes and despair. These kinds of books are flooding the Young Adult shelves where I primarily browse. As a YA Fantasy author, I write to “light a candle instead of curse the darkness.”

This is also what Victoria Bauman is all about: protecting children until they are old enough to know what a dragon looks like and can draw their own blade; guarding them until they have the mental capacity to decide for themselves; and building a grand treasure for their learning and enjoyment.

I hope we can do our part to support Victoria, the safe growth of children, and the untold legacy of the written word. Will you help us expand our literary horizons and support a strong future for all of us who love our community libraries? Will you support Victoria with me?"

"Research has consistently demonstrated exposing children to pornography is harmful in profound ways. The American College of Pediatricians (2016) stated that children under 12 who have been exposed to pornography are 'statistically more likely to sexually assault their peers.'  According to the CDC (2022), 'about 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 13 boys experience child sexual abuse.'  These numbers are staggering and yet libraries across the country seem complacent about maintaining standards that expose children to sexually explicit and pornographic material despite the fact that this will likely create more risk of sexual abuse for children. Protecting the innocence of our children is instrumental in promoting a healthy childhood experience which translates into healthy communities."

"I am very happy to endorse Victoria Bauman for the upcoming May 20 election for Community Library Network Trustee. Victoria is a mom, homemaker, and professional Pilates trainer with a background in organizational public relations and communication. She deeply appreciates the value of a local library with its vast sources of information (which she frequently uses with her young daughter). She has no interest in banning books. She brings a healthy balance to the issues of access and the developmental needs of all ages. Her corporate skills and personal intuition will be great assets in keeping our libraries strong and relevant."

"I’ve no doubt that many stalwart and honest conservatives stand up to run for elected office because they’re principled and want to make a positive difference. Many of those elected offices are paid and/or they’re stepping stones to greater political offices. In the worst cases, candidates have ulterior motives or hidden agendas. In the case of a library trustee, there is no compensation; instead, it costs candidates much time, money and ample opportunity costs. So, it’s a joy to endorse a candidate such as Victoria Bauman whose motives are driven by a true love of literature, integrity to protect children, a desire to bolster an outstanding community resource and who is dedicated to responsible stewardship of taxpayer funds. Please join me in helping to elect Victoria as a Community Library Network Trustee so she can deliver back to our community."

" In the ever-evolving landscape of public service, there is one imperative that rises above all others: the protection of our children. Particularly regarding resources they have access to without parental supervision. Victoria Bauman is a beacon of hope and a strong leader at a crucial time. Her extensive background in public affairs, nonprofits, and public speaking, combined with years of experience navigating the intricate maze of public service, makes her an exceptional candidate for the CLN Board of Trustees. Victoria’s adeptness in listening as much as she speaks has been a significant factor in her effectiveness as a leader. At this particular point in time, when our children are under attack by liberal politicians pushing left wing agendas, it just makes common sense to vote for a common goal. Victoria Bauman is a qualified leader with conservative values who will make a difference for our children and our community when she becomes a Community Library Network Trustee on May 20th."
